Servo Help
I posted this over on the Trannie forum, but no reply so Im trying hee. Is there any differance between a Piston casting # 7T/83DT-7E221-A1A and a Piston casting # 7T/83DT-7E221-A2A) I the org one I had was a A2A but had a damaged lip. I replaced it with a A1A. Now I have no Rev, or 1,2 or in D. Any thoughts?

well, do they look similary. I remember when I had a4ld I had this problem... I do not really remember how this problem was solved (it was many years ago). Anyway, I sold my A4LD and now I have 5st tranny... finally ready to fail (nocks a bit)

same part. the largest OD servos avail in A4LD, 4R series

They are both the same size, but for some reason the trannie shop does not list a conversion. I put in the old one and every thing is great. The cap does not have any letters to give which one is which. ie AB,BB,AC etc. And the trannie shops only two here, dont really like to do Fords. I may just order two complete Servos and Caps.
I really liked my old C6 and FMX trannies with my old Mustang and T Bird. S easy to rebiuld and fix.

they wont list a conversion. they are for the 5r55e, its what they use. an seeing the c3,a4ld an 5r55e tranny are really all the same tranny you can get the 5r55e servos to replace the a4ld.
so find a tranny shop or rebuilder an ask for the zc cover an servo,you already have the ab cover on the a4ld.if you ask around an bug them a few times they will probley tell you who they buy there used hard parts from.
