"rejoin" amsoil?
I "stock pile" filers, oils, lubes. Save mucho dinero that way. I do a 6 month membership via an excellent wholesaler, buy everything I may need for 2 years, then go quiet and let the membership lapse. This way the dedicated wholesaler gets the much needed credit, and I get the great prices.
One big advantage is that I have a Studebaker manual Transmission. That is GL4 land, but with the exception of Amsoil, everyone else wants to tout "trust us" GL4/5 combos.
My wholesaler, who has always gone the extra kilometer is:

Work with "Pablo", you will be happy
As for cost, in the same quality grade, Amsoil, including shipping falls about in the middle of the pack compared to going to a big box store costs including taxes (IF you can get the specialty fluid.) On filters, Amsoil cost near the top of the pack. And you better believe that is controversial.

I just saw this on his site, thoguht it was a one time shot: "Preferred Customer memberships may be renewed indefinitely for only $20/year."
and now i see they have a 6 month for $10...i think that's new. thanks for the reminder!
now i have to figure out how many quarts it'll take for a AT pan drop/filter change and a few drain and fills over the next year.
I prefer Redline when it comes to synthetics, and the MT-90 product would be perfect, except the old VW seeps trans oil, rebuilding just to replace seals is too big of a PITA, and no matter what they say, synthetic lubes do leak out faster if there are already bad seals.
