'57 Door mounting secrets??
The previous owner of my beloved '57 thought he knew what he was doing when he mounted the doors....now that I am about to fix the atrocious gap at the cab to door handle part of the door, has anyone got any special advice??? I had read the shop manual and have a pretty good understanding of how to adjust them...just curious if anyone had any secrets!!!!

The couple of time that I've had to do it, I just opened the door, crouched down with my knees under the door, and held it there with my legs as I slid it out/in a bit and tightened the bolts. If I needed to lower one end or the other (or both) I could jst by tightening or loosening my ankles, thereby lifting me and the door up a little or dropping down a little. Hope it makes sense.
