hey everyone, got my self a problem. ses came on yesterday, trucks running rough ,doesn't have enough power to get out of it's own way. 2000 cc dp tuner. It feels like an injector miss took it to a friend of mine with a code reader, but it says NO CODES. can anyone tell me if this reader will work for our trucks or do i need to take it somewhere else. code reader is INNOVA 3100. THANX FOR YOUR HELP
From what I understand, certain code readers won't work, I use my Superchips tuner-code reader, I just pulled some codes recently. Sounds like the dreaded UVH harness again. I never had problems with mine but the experts will be by soon to verify, good luck..
thanx for your input Pocket i knew some one hear would be able to help ,thanx everyone .tomorrow i will have to find a good code reader, even if i have to go to the stealership
If you want a top notch code reader, the AE Scan tool seems to be a very good one, tells you everything, and I mean everything. Somebody with one will let you know how much and where to get it..

I actually called the company to verify if it would work on a PDS and they said no.
Well once again the fine folks on this forum saved me a bunch of money . Your trouble shooting methods and thoughts of the problem were spot on. It did end up being UVH ,the ohm test showed nothing on the left side , pulled the valve cover off and it was just sitting there. Made the reconnect ohmed it again read right on the money. As i started to put it back together i retorqued everything , all was tight. Did the quarter mod(half the .50 mod), since i had the doghouse off i did the CCV mod(on the cheap,no collector yet) while i was already dirty i went ahead and did the foil delete. All of this was done with the great direction from you fine folks . With out you people i would have been at the mercy of the stealship and my wallet would be a whole lot lighter.THANX AGAIN HOPEFULLY I WILL BE AS SMART AS YOU GUYS SOME DAY. Glad to hear you got it all fixed up Craig. With the money you saved, maybe you should consider spending $20 and get a supporter badge next to your name.
