Hi just picked up a new (to us) F250 and its got chrome diff covers i'd like to change out. anyone recommend a specific brand or style they like, or one to stay away from?
Thanks
yeah the ford alum cover is the cheaper alternative. as for heat retained the mag hytech doesn't really help dissipate the heat as much as it does slow the onset of the heat. It holds more fluid but once it gets up to temp. the heat sinks aren't really in a position to cool it off that much.
I went with the mag hitech for my rear, but I couldn't justify the cost for the front.
Something to research or even call on, BD diesel made a trans pan that was very similar to mag's. I asked them about doing a diff cover a few years ago, but the rep didn't think they had anything in works yet.
I got the 08' aluminum cover on my 04'. Looks great and has to help the cooling a lot. Cover is pretty darn thick too. I wish ford would offer one for the D60 too so my front and rear covers would match.

Sorry nothing yet... we do plan on releasing one but I do not have an ETA at this point. These 6.4L's and 6.7L's have our R&D team booked solid! I will keep this thread posted.
Excellent, the trans pan looked good and I thought in was either inline or just cheaper than mag hitech, but more important to me, keystone carries it.
