Chapter Leader term question

Okay folks,

There has been some discussion on how long a person should stay in as chapter leader in the CL's thread. Seeing that it is coming up on a year since I took over as CL of the best chapter on FTE, I am bringing this up to see what everyone's thoughts are regarding this topic.

I will go on record now by stating that I am not leaving the position unless the members of the chapter want a change. I do feel bad that we have not had any get togethers or organized events, but the feeling that I am getting from everyone is that they happy with how things are running here.

Please post up your opinions and any suggestions that you may have

My flame suit is on and I am even wearing flame retardant unddies

I haven't been around long so count my vote accordingly, but to me it looks smooth here in the NY thread. Tiny1's enthusiasm and leadership comes across well. As far as setting up outings and what -not, If that is important to a bunch of us,we all need to chime in to get that ball rolling. Tiny1, I say your good for another go-round . If you want the job?

Oz.

Jason and Oz, thanks for the compliments and as I stated, I am more than willing to stay on as CL. I am just floating this question to see what the members here think.

i had offered to take the job when you were asked as Ronin had some issues he needed to take over. I feel youve done a fine job and frankly I dont come on here like i used to as i had a bad deal here with a member in the NJ area that I dont want to get into here, but i just have sort of decided to stay away and out of sight.. I would hope youll stay on until it is agreed for a time for a chage. and I for one would like to thank you for your time and dedication to this part of the site as you have done an outstanding job..
as to a gettogether i will again offer my place for a cookout this summer in deposit NY if anyone wants to put something togther

Thanks for posting Bob and for offering your place in Deposit as a possible G2G location. I will keep it in mind and if anything shakes loose, I will let you know.

This was orginally posted mainly because in the CL forum there was a post from another CL wondering how long a CL should stay. Some chapters have a 1 year term limit, others have none. I was wondering what the chapter members felt would be a respectable term. I do plan on staying on as CL.

Neil, Neil, he's our man, if he can't do it...well, we could probably find someone else who could, they just wouldn't be as good.

I vote I on the election. You're in! When you're sick of the job, let us know and we'll hold another election.

1st I've seen this tread...so I'll chime in.
Why screw with what works. GTG's while fun I'm sure, aren't term ending. I've had to blow off every one proposed for yrs.
Neil you're doing great, the tone of the Chapter is great, we get drive by commies from across the Forum, and it seems like all our visitors enjoy comming here for a quick post.
The torch handing from Darren to you....a natural step!
