transmision shifting on an automatic

I have a 04 fx4 with floor shift, is there a programer out there that will let me use it like we used to shift agressively?
In 1st gear the auto mode works better and for down shifting it realy sucks, or am i bound to get a shift kit ?

Just ordered my Gryphon but it is my understanding that most of the tuners firm up the shifts. I'm sure some owners will chime in with their experience with these products.
