Exhaust was replaced with a high flow two to one cat replacement and a gibson cat back system. Been down the plugged exhaust path.
The actron unit really does show a wealth of info. I will keep all posted.
I'd be interested in how well this Actron works with live data from an OBD-I. Between my 93 F150 I want to monitor, as well as my 2000 Mountaineer that has a check engine light on that I can't get codes from, it sounds like it might be worth getting. Can this pull data even if a code reader won't work? I've got an OBD-II code reader that doesn't power up, and even the local parts stores can't pull codes? I was told that Ford can pull data because their scanner is externally powered... Is this 9190 that way too?
Thanks for the help.

On the 2000 Mountaineer have you checked the 25 Amp Fuse #17 in the Central Junction Box?
The Central Junction Box is located on the Left side of vehicle, below instrument panel.

Yes, I checked that fuse as well as every other fuse in the truck. I had posted in the Explorer/Mountaineer section with this problem also. Every fuse in the truck checks out. My next thought was maybe a loose wiring harness somewhere under the dash? I know that my rear wiper stopped working too, and that fuse is good. So with that not working and the DLC not functioning, my logical next step is wiring harness somewhere. Does that sound logical? Or should I look at something else first? I'm just not ready to tuck my tail between my legs and go to Ford yet.
Sorry, didn't mean to hijack the thread. I am very interested in this scanner if it will help my Mountaineer issue and be able to see live data on the 93 F150. The description on Amazon was a little vague for the OBD-I portion.

Do you have power at fuse #17 and the pin #16 on the DLC?
Is the grounds good at the DLC?
This is a wire with no plugs from #17 to the DLC.
I do have power at #17. I will check for power at the DLC and verify the grounds at the DLC this weekend. I just have to get it in the garage. We have been inundated with rain this week. I'll update what I find out. Thanks for the direction Bill! Best info I've gotten yet.
Well it shows me real time sensor info on my 95 and it will read any codes stored in your ecu. I have not pulled my codes yet because I was impressed with the sensor info i was looking at. It does say it needs to be powered by the vehicle through an included cable to read codes. The internal battery must be for all the other goodies. I am definately happy it can read obd1 as well as obd2 for the later stuff.

Sweet! Definitely good to know. It's going on my wish list!
Subford,
I finally got the code reader working again. I apparently had removed the fuse for the cigarette lighter because it had blown and forgotten to get another one. Got one tonight, replaced it and the reader worked fine.
Anyway, I got one code, P1401. I've read that this is usually the DPFE going bad, or a split hose. Sound correct? I can't check it til tomorrow since it's getting too dark here, and has rained again. Will check it tomorrow when my fiance gets home with the truck. Thanks for the help, and tip on the fuse. I'll update.
All I know about a P1401 is this:
HE10 DTC P1401: DETERMINE PRESENT DPFEGR PID VOLTAGE
Key on, engine off.
Access DPFEGR PID with a scan tool.
Is DPFEGR PID voltage greater than 4.0 volts?
Yes
Fault is currently present. KEY OFF. GO to «HE11».
No
Fault is intermittent. GO to «HE19».
