Lift Kit

I want to Lift my truck so I can put bigger tires on and I'm looking a t 4 inches or 6 and I'm afraid that 6 is to big. Any suggestions. And I'm wondering if adding just a leaf would work and if a leaf works could i just get some from a salvage yard instead of buying ones I know my step dad has a few he's not using.

I don't do lifted! (Just a personal pref)

But as I understand it, 6" causes problems with several items.

Those are the least of your problems with a TTB lift.

I'd be more concerned with cracked crossmembers.

Please read some posts. This has been covered to death.....

How big are you looking to go? Look at stosh's truck that doesnt have any lift on it and its got some pretty good sized tires on it.

I mean tires. The size of the tires will determine how big of a lift you need.

You can't just put springs under it and lift it over a inch or two, or it will throw the alignment off. You have to get the kit with the brackets. My 89 f250 has a 4 inch lift and it has plenty of clearance for the 35 inch tires on it.
