New V-10'er
Well, after waiting a couple of months, my V-10 powered Harley-Davidson F-350 showed up at the dealership last night. I have been fighting the urge to go lurk at the dealership & wait for them to get it prep'ed.
I should get some pics later today when I officially take custody.
Okay, back to pacing...

Juggling the family, job, and the new truck has chewed heavily into my spare time.
I had the order placed on February 25th in an attempt to beat the March 6th cutoff date for the Harley-Davidson edition's two-tone option (painted flames). The person that ordered it was able to get it pushed to the head of the line the following week...i.e. he got the order pulled on a non-order-pulling day!!
It showed up at the dealer's lot on Tuesday night, but the paperwork was not ready until Thursday morning. As we could not take it home as originally planned, we opted to take it for a "test" drive Wednesday night...which is when we got these photos.
Hopefully within the next couple of days (weather & time permitting), I can get it cleaned up & some real photos taken.
As optioned:

I didn't order the step with mine. It seemed awkward to me when I tried one. Plus, I figured tailgate thieves would target those tailgates more.
Line-X is no more expensive than the tough bed, and probably a lot better too. I've heard of tough beds pealing.
I wouldn't mind an extender. But I'd rather have one like the F150s had. I'm going to see if one from an 04-08 F150 will fit and function in a Super Duty.
Oh, BTW, very nice truck!

Yeah, I am thinking that the Dark Blue Pearl was probably the favored color this year. It would be interesting to see how the percentages break out across the three color choices...if we could just look at customer orders & not the dealership stock.
I figured that I would roll the dice on the Tough Bed option. Seems to be a bit thinner than your average Line-X application, but then again, it is not like this will be seeing hard use. I opted to go this route, as it was covered by Ford...even though the dealerships do not know how/where they are going to be fixed/repaired if anything happens. As for the Tough Bed peeling, I have not heard of any. But, then again, the option has only been available for three months give or take.
I had a bed extender in my '08 Lincoln Mark LT & another previous truck. They were as much a curse as they were a nicety. I found that I ended up constantly pulling them out because they just got in the way.
I think that the new Super Duty bed extender is going to be awesome. It stows away on the sides of the box leaving it completely opened for bigger items. And it folds back out in seconds. That will definitely eliminate the need to install/uninstall it like the other bed extenders.
