1978 f150
battery died in engine 2 days ago, jumped it, it started drove it for like 2 hours
now engine will turn over but wont start any idea whats gone bad?
I was thinking the alt and starter might have gone?

you might wanna check your ignition module. i had the same problem with mine a couple weeks ago, it would crank all day but it wouldnt fire. replaced the ignition control module and it fired right up.

how hard is that to replace and how much will it set me back?

take it to advance or some other parts store and they can test it, they didnt charge me anything to test mine, but a new one for my 77 f100 was $20.

But where is the ignition module looking in haynes right now and cant seem to find it?

its on the driver side innerfender well up next to the fire wall trust me you cant miss it, its a box about 4"x6" with 2 plugs comeing out of it.
