2005+ front bumper question

Will a 2005+ front bumper fit a 1999-2004 Super Duty without modification? I'm looking for a grey bumper from an XL to replace my chrome stocker.

Hey, did you come by the house and not ring the door bell?

Seriously, I think that the only issue you will have is the grille is larger on the 2005 and up trucks. You are going to have a gap between the lower portion of your grille and the upper portion of the bumper valance.

He is right, the gap is about 2". you can put the 05 grill on the older header panel with the 05 bumper if you make brackets to mount the clips on the bottom of the grill. been there done that

Ha! I remembered that you had customized your grille, which is why I mentioned the gap. You may want to consider powder coating your front bumper in flat black.

Yeah... If I can't go this route for now I'm just going to build my own bumper and have Line-X'd.
