Is their such a thing as factory fuel injection for a 400? I am wanting to convert my carbureated 400 in my wrecker truck to EFI to help with the gas milage. i would prefer something like TBI that could be bolted to my intake .Thanks
Not that I've ever come across. But I understand Holley makes an add-on kit for doing that....
The 400 was phased out in I think 1982; then came feedback carbs followed by EFI in the
mid 80s.
There is no factory fuel injection for any 335 series motors. I built my own using parts borrowed from 5.0, 351W, and 4.6 motors. I also made or purchased some custom parts. Check my Gallery for some photos.
Most aftermarket EFI is Speed Density NON-Sequential. My setup and the one in the Cardomain article use a factory Ford computer (A9L strategy) and are Mass-Air Sequential systems.
