Question Newbie question

Is their such a thing as factory fuel injection for a 400? I am wanting to convert my carbureated 400 in my wrecker truck to EFI to help with the gas milage. i would prefer something like TBI that could be bolted to my intake .Thanks

Not that I've ever come across. But I understand Holley makes an add-on kit for doing that....
The 400 was phased out in I think 1982; then came feedback carbs followed by EFI in the
mid 80s.

Nope sorry the 400 didn't stick around long enough to get EFI.

There is no factory fuel injection for any 335 series motors. I built my own using parts borrowed from 5.0, 351W, and 4.6 motors. I also made or purchased some custom parts. Check my Gallery for some photos.

Most aftermarket EFI is Speed Density NON-Sequential. My setup and the one in the Cardomain article use a factory Ford computer (A9L strategy) and are Mass-Air Sequential systems.

If you want to do an easy EFI conversion and get a good Mass-Air Sequential system, try this site:

Mass-Flo Fuel Injection Systems

They will sell a turn key setup, or just the Throttle Body/Mass-Air sensor and you can do your own manifold conversion, harness, and computer tune.
