How much $$$
I am getting my transmisson overhauled tomarrow and Thursday. I was curious if anybody else has had this done to their truck recently. I have a 94 F-150 with a 300/6. And a 4EOD transmisson. I was curious as to what I should expect to pay. I would do it myself with my dad but we don't have the space or really the time to do a project this big. Also I have a 3.08 rear end. What would it probably cost me to go from a Non-posi rear end to a posi?

The E4OD in my '94 F-150 cost $1400 for the rebuild and $400 installation labor (on a 4x4). Be sure they upgrade it with the latest changes. That price also included a mild shift kit and an aux cooler.
Expect to pay at least $500 for a posi carrier, installed. I would go for 3.55 gears while I was at it. I paid $1200 to replace everything in mine.
