I am looking for some input. I have an '02 Dark Shadow Grey x-cab short bed.
I am thinking about having the truck repainted. One door ding that paintless dent removal can't fix, rust on right rear fender well and the left bedside does not match to my liking (a lady on a cell phone, need I say more). Anyway, I am sticking with the same color but I was thinking of a pair black racing stripes up over the hood, roof and down the tailgate. What are your thoughts/opinions. Thanks Ben
By all means get what you want. Over the hood/cab stripes just always looked funny to me as the bed kills the flow of stripe. I have a co worker that has a red dodge with the stripes. He has a bed cover and the stipes are on it and down the tailgate and that still just looks odd.
This idea popped in my head when I was looking at what was coming to the Mecum Auto Auction and it got me thinking. I am still planning on getting the truck painted, I just didn't know about the stripes. Has anyone seen a superduty with stripes? The only Dodge's I have seen are either blue or white in the SST's. I wish I had a CAD program to mock it up.
