Fuel

I have a 1989 bronco about a foot before the external fuel pump there is a canister that has 4 fuel lines running into it 2 on each side the base is round it is roughly 5 inches tall and 4 inches across could anybody please tell me what this is?It is leakking and i really need to know.

pull it off and take it into a parts store. sorry i cant recall what that is, your haynes manual should say.

It sound like the "single function reservoir assembly" it was designed for the ford 4x4s to prevent the loss of fuel rail pressure if the pick-up in the gas tank temporally looses draw (ex: at large angles with low fuel levels in the tank). the lines closest to the frame are the return lines and the outer ones are the supply lines.
