Dropped a SCT, pre-programmed by 5 Star into my 2000 X this weekend. So far so good. Only tried 93 octane performance so far and I can tell a noticeable difference. Mike was great to deal with!!! Will be tring the other tunes soon and I will give an update.
I've been running a new tune from Mike that doesn't let the tranny shift into OD until about 73-75 mph when in tow haul. The first tune he sent with that feature was a 87 oct tune and now I have the 93 oct version. There is a noticeable difference between the two. The 93 has a lot more grunt at lower rpm. When it shifts into OD at 50 mph it just pulls where the 87 tune makes it feel like it's working. Just won't accelerate like the 93 does.
Got a chnce to run the delayed OD tune again last weekend. Towed a 6x12 enclosed trailer 400 miles helping one of the boys move. The delayed OD is great in the hills and wind. Just poke the TH button and under 70 it stays in direct. No upshift to OD when you have to let off the throttle a little. Makes for a much better driving experience than having it in and out of OD.
That's the great thing about having Mike hang out on this board. He had read some of the things I was unhappy with in the V10 and created a fix. I also had him change a couple other things to fit me better. Can't get that with a canned tune. Thanks for listening Mike!
Hi guys, I'm new here and I got a 2000 F-250 SD V-10, I already have experience with tuners since I use an sct in my 96 PI headed Mustang GT, I put a tune in that one after all the bolt-ons and PI conversion, I already have an intake and flowmaster force II exhaust, I'm looking forward to contacting mike for a tuner, my question is: will I get better mileage with a 93 oct tune? ( I don't mind paying more for premium as long as the truck responds, mustang only drinks 93 because of the tune and high comp.)

Mileage is such a changing thing for me that it is hard to pin down, but Mikes 93 tunes have turned in the best mpg the most consistently. Hard to say how much though. The thing I like most about the 93 tune is the performance. Just has better drivability.
