Linex prices seem to vary quite a bit from state to state.I paid $475 for mine 3 years ago for regular black Linex.I've heard of people in other states that paid under $400. I checked with all (2 or 3) Linex dealers in my state and they all quoted me the same $$.When I got mine I don't think the color match was available. But my truck is black so mine matches.

I'm having a Line-X installed this Saturday on my new truck and the cheapest I could find was $469 + tax for an 8' bed under rail. I asked if they remove the bed bolts and the reply was "we remove all the bolts that we can and if the bolts are hard to get out, they are getting Line-Xed." I can't say I'm too excited at this response. I may loosen all the bolts right before I go down there...

On another note, do most of you do under rail? My truck has the plastic rail caps which should be fine but I don't think they offer the same traction for stepping on as the Line-X would. I was told if you remove your plastic rail caps, you are left with a lot of holes that they tape over but you are subject to having these areas punched through the liner.

That's an appropriate response regarding the bed bolts. Every once in a while, there's a bolt that for some reason, is extremely difficult to get out. The dealer does not want to risk breaking the bolt or stripping the bolt head. So, you might want to make sure they will come out yourself before you take your truck to the dealer.

If you take the plastic cap off, you will see that the shape of the rail is not very nice looking. Yes, there are holes all along the rail. Your best bet is to stay under the rails with the bedliner.

I agree...I've just NEVER seen one actually driving down the street, or loading up some wood or rock. I always see them in the dealer lots though.

I ended up going with Rhino. Ziebart here was having a deal $300 out the door for a 8 foot bed under rail with uv protection, removing bolts also!! Getting it done Saturday. Couldn't pass up the price.

I had Rhino in my 96 F250 and it did a great job. Buy the one that will protect the bed the best. Either one will do the job of protecting the bed. Maybe I'm old school, but it is a truck so who cares if it fades or peels a little on the edge. Why waste a day, glue it and go on. Fading? WTF? Oh yeah, not a trailer queen. Next topic.

Maybe you have but couldn't tell there was a bedliner in there because it was the same color as the truck!

C'mon man...WHITE? Ain't no way on God's green earth I could keep that clean. I do suppose white is real easy to match though. I'm talking about all of the other colors. Ain't never seen one on the road, let alone at the dump or rock yards... Doesn't look like your gets used much either.

Looks nice though.

I didn't want to pay over $400 for a bed liner so..... I went with the do it yourself Herculiner. I was nervous about it so i took my time, did the prep right and it looks great. If you didn't know you would not be able to tell.
And all for about $120 bucks with a few extra supplies.

That's a new Ford factory folding bed divider. Dodge came out with one also.

Here's my thoughts regarding the DIY bedliner products:
You can go to Wallymart and buy a few cans of Krylon spray paint and paint your entire truck with it and for some people, they are happy with that. And, who are we to say that it's not OK for those folks. But, realize that some people would NEVER spray paint their truck with Krylon spray paint.

The do-it-yourself products like Herculiner, Duplicolor, Durabak, etc. are the Krylons of bedliners. They are no where near the durability of professional bedliner products nor to they look as nice as high pressure professional bedliners, but then who are we to say it's not right for some folks.

Here's Dodge's new factory bed divider:
