Shift selector adjustment
I need to adjust my shift selector on my 66' f100 cruise o matic. When moving from drive to park it tends to slip out of park. As well as when I need to start the truck, I have to lift the selector arm up as far as it will go into park to engage what ever safety switch is present.
Any Ideas?

Shift selector adjustment
I have a similar truck and I have to do the same thing. Mine does not stay in park well at all. I think this was characteristic of this tranny. I remember setting the idle on mine once and when I thought I had it set I reached in just blipped the the throttle on the carb and it slipped in reverse and started down the driveway. I have started setting the parking brake when I park it. As far as I am aware of there is no adjustment to be made to eliminate this problem. Short of converting to C6. I also know now why I remember seeing so many old fords sitting around with the tires blocked.
