hi everyone i got a 1995 F350 diesel 2 wheel drive auto with overdrive. What are the chance's of the tranny out of an 1999 E350 diesel van with overdrive being the same ? if not is there something i can do to make it work with out to much head ach. also im puttin in a pyro guage in where is the best place to put it ? thanks everyone.

 

I'm pretty sure the 99 is going to have a 4R100E. I believe it can be made to work in place of yours but not the other way around. The 4R100E has more sensors that your PCM can just ignore.

 

the most accurate results are in the exhaust manifold itself, it will givve you true readings unlike puttig it in the downpipe, it doesnt register as hot as the manifold and you want to best reading possible, you can drill and tap a hole on the bottom of the manifold, driver side i think? what ever side has cylinder #8, thats where alot of them put it
