Did a road test tonight in the pouring rain. Very impressed, brake controller functions very well, smooth braking, not jittery at all and easy adjust. I'll leave the extra TBC at home! Can't wait to load it up with the family and go.

My only beef is the engine brake, its a little weak and doesn't kick in until you hit the brakes - not a real jake...but then again its not a semi. I prefer the built in one that comes on the new Dodge's which you can turn on and off. (I also have an '08 Cummins) much more engine braking power.

It is not an engine brake at all it just downshifts the transmisssion and helps you slow a little. You will appreciate it coming down a steep grade. Keep putting those miles on her before you do serious towing.

We take a brand new 18 wheeler and put 80000 on and go. You are not going to hurt that engine by towing with it. i personally think it helps break them in. We get 1,000,000 miles out of our trucks. The breakend is for the rearend and brakes. Take it easy on the brakes so they don' glaze over and maybe a little easy on take off till the rear-end gets a good wear pattern started, maybe 500 miles then get after it.

I was forced to pull at about 900 mi with my build 1 - a long pull east on I10 out of the Palm Springs valley - 14K trailer. The truck did great. A week later lots of tough grades from LV to Grand Junction CO. The truck did great, my second pull was with an Edge Insight set of guages. Boy, it is very easy to control your EGT by several hundred degrees - a good addition. Love my truck so far!!!
