Exclamation Tire question!!

I have a 92 F-150 with stock suspension.
Right now i have 31 10.50s on it and it does just fine,my question is will i be able to put 33 12.50s on it without a lift kit or suspension lift?
I hope so because i got a good deal on them and i convinced my wife that they are not too big like she's thinking they'll beThanks!

they should be fine, just go over jumps to fast or your gonna hit the wheel well. and the size your putting on is the biggest the stock suspension can handle, and if u need just a little more clearence, put a body lift on.

i run 35x15x15 TSL's and i can fit 37's with wishful thinking

oh i forgot to mention, with the 12.50 wide tires it might start to rub just a little bit when you turn all the way in one direction, i do with my big knobby tires

Assuming your stock tires were around 28 in, you're probably going to have to think about a gearing change.

I knew a guy who ran 35's on his stock F-150. Really tight fit and had a lot of rub but it looked awesome. I have the 12.5 wide by 37 tall tires and the rub on the frame really limits my turning ability as I don't have backspaced rims.

I'm not too worried about losing power or even a little gas mileage if that's what you were referring too.
Really all it should affect is power loss, mileage, and speedometer difference right??
If you know something i could be possibly messin' up by puttin' on those 33s don't hesitate to tell me..............I definately don't want to tear nothing up!!

I don't think i'll be drivin' too wild or jumpin' anything,i just drive it back and forth to work and occasionally use it to pull out a few stumps in the yard I'm really hoping that it turns out to be a good investment buying those tires. They are used but still have over 1/2 tread left and they are Cooper Discoverer STT and i only gave $200.00 so hopefully they'll work

yea you'll be fine then, just add around like 3-7 miles to your speedometer cause the stocks are like 29's i think

if you can put some lower gears in too, it will help out so u wont break anything

you will fit 33's just fine...unless you have wide aftermarket wheels..then you may have trouble with the tire kissing the fender and or bumper....

You can expect the tires to kiss the radius arms as well

Lower gears will put more stress on the axles...but be easier on the tranny and driveshafts

You will be fine with 33's!!

If your truck has a 302 in it,you will be screaming for gears if you drive this truck on the road much, ask me how i know!! the 302 needs rpms to make power, you will be changing the rpms of the engine significantly. It is your decision, but if you don't mind being slow out of the stop lights,it won't be a problem.

my uncles 96 f150 short box single cab fits 33s no problem but his are only 9.50 wide though but even on 12.50s if you get a wheel with some good backspacing you shouldnt have any problems unless you try to flex it out or jump it

I seriously doubt you'll damage anything, you'll just have a performance loss. If you don't mind losing pulling power & acceleration then don't worry about the gears. As far as speedo accuracy goes, I'm fairly cetain the speedo drive can be recalibrated, either electronically or by a drive gear swap. Then again it may not be enough of a difference to worrry about. The easiest way I've found to check it is to use a Garmin.

yeah what powerplant are you running

a 302 with 33s will want a gear swap because it has less low end power to get em turning if your running a bix 6 (300) it will be fine in the low end but you will lose top end power, not much but you will and it will throw your mpgs down a bit, anything bigger than those you will be fine without new gears
