so then the chip would be a piggyback chip? it's just interesting to me all the hoops you have to jump through with fuel injection, the guy i am opening up my shop with can tune a fuel injected car pretty well and i can do a carb car pretty well also, i'm looking foward to learning from him

I hope your kidding, if any swap would be to happen it better be a 351W or a 460.
Why would I joke about such a serious subject? It's the cool thing to do. Your rig isn't cool unless you yank out a perfectly good Ford engine and drop in a belly button Chevrolet small block V-8 in a domestic vehicle that makes better trucks and motors than Chevrolet. This doesn't mean beans, however, because it's the cool thing to do. 350's are cheap and easy just like worn out night hookers. It would take more skill, money and talent to build a 302 or 351, but that isn't the cool thing to do. God forbid you have a pathetic Ford six cylinder. We won't even go there.
Mmmm. Did someone say 460? Someone did because I'm drooling a lil'.

I don't who, or why thats would even be considered cool. I frown down apon mix match makes in engines. (Chevy in a chevy, mopar in a mopar, you get the picture) I always hate looking through a magizine and seeing a classic Ford truck and it has a damn F-body front clip and a basic same old boring 350 chevy. Sorry to be off topic, but still, chevy in a Ford is a big no no.

I agree. I'm sick and tired of seeing that crap. I'm disgusted by it. I don't think Chebby makes a bad product but IMO it's nothing special. So with that said, keep that 350 in the Chebby's. I did see something cool. I was watching Passtime and this one guy brought a '69 or so Camaro with a Big Block Ford! One of the guys asked him, "Why would you put a Ford in a Camaro?!"
The answer?
"Because I wanted it to go fast."
And it did. It blew the doors off the opposition. I mean this thing flew by the other car like it was standing still about halfway down the track.
That was awesome. I am really glad I got to see that one.
Even though you see a lot of SBCs in older iron most late model (1960+ ) seem to retain an engine that fits the car. I hate it when a rodder drops a BBC into a GTO, 442, or an AMX. Saw a 56 F100 that had a Ford mod 5.4. Definately trick and it attracted a lot of long looks. A Ford should have Ford power. I have heard of a couple of modern Hemis going into some older Mopars.
I have had several SBCs over the past 40 years and they are good engines but no better or worse than the 302s that I had. If I was doing a hot rod I would try to keep the engine the same lineage as the body.
I wonder if a Mod V10 would fit in my 95?

i know someone who stroked out a modern hemi and put it into his 68 dart. very cool work. i agree totally, ford engines should go in fords, chevys belong in chevys and mopars belong in mopars. there are a select few chevy cars i wouldnt mind owning, one being a 89-90 caprice but if anything id swap a 302 in that sucker if the sbc ever wore out.
on a side note, i seen a v10 twin turbo crown victoria so im assuming it would fit into your 95 easier. theres also a few guys that have dropped v10 mod motors into the 03-04 mercury marauder which is basically the same car.
