2001 Lightning weight reduction??
Gotta ask this question - I'm a FORD drag guy. Has anyone heard or read anything about shedding some pounds from this beast? A reduction of a few hundred (or more) beaners would do wonders for acceleration, stopping and handling. Still love it even if it is a bit porky - it smokes GM junk that weighs over half a ton less.

2001 Lightning weight reduction??
1. Remove the seats and put in a seat from www.summitracing.com.
2. Ditch the stock rear end for a mini-spool
3. Shorter exhaust pipes
4. Light-weight racing battery
5. Remove sound dampening material
6. Take off the tail gate.
7. Ditch the air-conditioner.
