i hit a buzzard to day on the highway going about 75. no dents, but my grill clips on the bottom broke off and the the blue oval was hanging. so i need a new grill. would like to get an billet on or something like that. not an insert. any ideas?
Sorry that buzzard got in your way. Buzzards not yeilding the right of way really gets me POed.
I went with a cut down 2005. But there are alot of options on Ebay.

How hard was that to install
I bought it on Ebay all ready cut down with the clips repositioned to fit my 99. It was just like replacing a stock grille. 4 screws at top and 2 clips at the bottom. I did modify the way the clips were repositioned. The seller had used plastic tie wraps which I replaced with small machine screws and nylock nuts.
Someone did a write-up on how to do the cut down. If I find it I will post.
There are some great looking, quality inserts to be had and yours look great. I need one for that opening in the bumper but I want to get fog lights first.
not fancy but keeps the rocks and small birds from hitting my IC or going into the zoodad mod and it only cost me 12 bucks..
i do have a spare grill if you really need one..i been holding onto it just for this reason..but i been thinking 05 front end lately...the grill looks good Robin..

Thanks Ron. The mesh(for the lack of a better word) behind the grill is a super idea. I would like to find some of that for behind mine.
I got a crack in my OEM grill over the winter. Probably a rock strike. I bought an aftermarket one on ebay for a 100 bucks. Do a search; grills SD. There are lots to choose from. Some are inserts, but there are lots of complete replacements as well. I'm keeping the old one for my winter front and will just change the whole grill as the seasons change. It's easier.
