Hi guys, I'm not around the superdutys much; mainly OBS powerstrokes. Anyhow I was working on my cousins 00 today, shimming the FPR. In the process of getting the proper sized shim installed the fuel line got over tightened or something and the threads broke off the FPR cover.
I checked powerstroke shop but can't find just the cover, anyone know if it's available? The pics of the FPR don't show the cap included
glad I could help...Bob (Guzzle) is a great guy to deal with..he is also a member here in the 7.3 forum...ill bet you will have that in 3 day's..if you tightened it that much..id get the new fuel line sleeve as well..I'm sure you spoiled the old one by over tightening it..you just snug them down,,do not go tight..turn nut by hand till it bottoms out on the sleeve..with a wrench give a 1/2 to full turn..turn on key to run fuel pump and see if it leaks..if it does..give it another 1/2 turn and repeat..
thanks Robin..the same rules go into play with all of the stock fuel lines going to the head from the bowl..when people take them off..then put back on with old oring..they go tight and it tends to leak..there first thought is tighten more..bad move...it will strip or brake..the sleeves are what seals the line..never go tight tight on them..if you remove them lines..its always good to have new orings on stand by,,,...Guzzel has them all at a very good price...

When I replaced my HPOP I made sure I ordered all new parker fuel line sleeves from Guzzle. I actually shop there quite often. Saves a lot of running around. He runs an excellent service.
i have been getting a few here and there from him the last few weeks..i now have spares for most anything i would need them for..when i need to use a set..i will order another set right then...

That's the way I roll. His lists and labeling keep it all organized as well. He ranks righ at the top for customer service.
Hey man if you are in need of one, I have the one I took off my truck when I installed the cpr reg return if you need one. I can have it shipped out in no time. I've got the whole assembly.
