Problem after rebuild

I used a Comp Cam part number 31-255-5 camshaft. The issue is with the idle. It idles at about 550 to 600 rpms and will die after a minuet or so. I have the timing set @ 13 deg. Should I set the timing higher or what? Thanks for any help you can provide.
