Brake Controler???

Hey guys I am installing a electric brake controler on my 01 f350. The controler i bought i was told is for my truck and should just plug in to a prewired connector under the dash. The connector on the end of the controler is a 6 pin brown connector that is rectangular in shape. The only connector i can find under the dash that matches up is already pluged into the harness going up the steering column. I did however find a flat, gray (i believe 6 pin, id have to take another look to be sure) connector with 4 wires going to it. Im just wondering if this is the harness that is prewired for the brake controls. And if so, if anyone knows which wires are which, that would help so i can just hard wire the controler in myself. Thanks

Mine connector was located to the far right after you remove the dash panel under the steering column.. Did your truck come with the trailer package? I think is a required to have this connector..

I just pulled my dash panel and took a look.. The connector in a hard place thru a trianglar hole of a steel bracket brace at your right.. They don't give you much room to grab the connector.. You need extra small hands.. Probably better to use some needle nose pliers. But, it is a 6 pin grey connector. You only use 5 on them however.. You should also see a large light blue wire going to this connector along with other colored wires..

Once again, big thanks to Andrew (Aklim) who took this picture for me a few years ago.

The brown plug is the pigtail from the brake controller. The grey plug is the OEM harness.

Orientation is looking from the drivers side door to the point under the dash where the radio/climate controls are located.
