Over on the west side of MI we still have dept run child seat installs, and inspections.....I guess we're more worried about the swine flu than the liabilities of the install....(good or bad I guess...)

Tether mounts are available for 2001 models from dealers. They're supposed to be free according to my owners manual, but when I went into the dealer they told me Ford no longer honored that program. My dealer gave to me at cost: about $50 I think. Haven't installed mine yet, but doesn't look too hard. - Brian

I have heard that newer trucks are required to have the anchor points in the back, however if your truck is a dually, they are NOT required. Apparently the greater GVW of the dually means that it is not considered a passenger vehicle, therefore does not have to follow those guidelines. Some have it anyway, but it is not required.

Is stopped by my dealer in British Columbia Canada and he ordered two kits for me no charge. I installed the anchors last night. The installation manual is around 35 pages! Only one bolt required go figure. Anyways it was easy.

So its just the upper ones for the "over the back" strap? No clips at the bottom for the main harness to latch to?

(Thanks for the pics btw. Can't find them online anywhere.)
