Help!!

First a lightning is a truck. I know of no other "car" that can do 0-60 in 6.4 secs, top speed of 140 mph, bed capacity of 800lbs and a towwing capacity of 5000lbs! The lightning is truly a unique incredible, awesome truck. If yuo need a 4x4, you won't be getting a Lightning, unless you buy an F-150 4x4, slap on an eaton supercharger, F-250 HD brakes, tuned ports, larger pistons and so on and so on, and still it will not run like any lightning...leave the Lightning mech work up to the good fellas at SVT. As for your dad, just tell him to look at the numbers. The F-Series Superduties outsell Che** and Dod**, COMBINED. And it's not because the Ford's are cheaper. This is far from the truth, the Ford's are actually more. An F-250 XLT 4x4 with a Triton 5.4L will run you upwards of $35,000. You can get a Dod** with similar options for $32,000, and a Che** with similar otions for $30,000. So why do the Fords cost more? I honestly think it's because they are better trucks, hands down. I'm not being biased because I love Fords, I'm just speaking from experience, and what I see everyday. Che** says they have the longest lasting trucks on the road. Then why is it all the Che*** I see are the boxy 1988 or later models, almost never do I see an older Che**. You almost never see an early Dod**, they are all the new model with the ugly fenders. But gauranteed, go for a drive for a 1/2 hour, and I bet you will see more than a handful of older Fords, as in 1990 and older. I see far more older Fords still driving to work everyday than I do Che*** or Dod***. I honestly don't know what else you should tell your father. But if he can't see the numbers of Fords sold (best selling truck for is it 23 years now? and best selling automobile, out of cars and trucks combined for 17 years?) then I feel bad for your dad, he's lost in his ways, stuck in a rut like the Che*** I see all over the place with the rotted rocker panels and banged up beds...another thing...why is it with every single newer Che** truck i've seen on the road, they all have the same problem occuring...every one i've ever seen has a burnt out bulb on the daytime running lights on the drivers side. EVERY ONE!!!! if Che** can't get a minor thing like a light bulb to work, how in god's name do they keep their trucks even rolling?????!!!!!

Help!!

When the Chebby's came out with the Vortec engine it added undesired weight to the front end. Therfore to compensate they replaced the heavier low end bearings with lighter ones- which wear out around fourty thousand miles. The reason I know is because my moms 98' tahoe went out with only 73,000. Chebby was surprised it made it that long. When the bearings go out it throws metal throught the engine. A slight tick was detected early but it was to late. Theres an argument against Chebby for your pa.
