rubbing/grinding noise

This just started happening this past week. When i am running anywhere from 25-75 or more and i hit a bump it feels like the front passenger wheel is going to fall off. There is an awful rubbing or grinding noise coming from the wheel. I can feel it in the steering wheel and in the brake pedal. It will continue to make this noise until i hit another bump real hard or i slow down to 15 or 20. Then it will do it again the next time i hit another bump. Any suggestions???????

Jack the truck up on that side and try and wiggle the wheel back and forth. Basically grab the top of the wheel, pull and push on it and if it has slack you have a bad wheel bearing and it almost sounds to dangerous to drive.

Just an idea

I think your wheel hub bearing is gone. Here's a link to get to it. If the needle bearing is gone, it can be replaced without having to buy a new hub assembly, unfortunately, there is a bearing inside the hub assembly that cannot be replaced. If it's gone, you have to buy the assembly.

Welcome to guzzle's 4x4 Needle Bearing Maintenance Web Page

I agree wheel hub bearing. Caution continued driving could have the wheel leave the truck. Check it asap and don't drive until repaired if it is the bearing. If you have to drive keep the speed really slow.

I found mine bad with the seals failed and I could see the rollers. They were dry with no lube and squeeking but I could not feel anything in the wheel. If yours are bad enough to feel it in the steering wheel you could be close to failure.

I bought 1 bearing from Autozone, (Timken)
I bought the 2nd from ebay. It is marked made in Canada. I would not be suprised to find it is an OEM part.
