Nice, my first box was similar to that but had 3 small top drawers so there were 2 bars to keep it closed. Sears has had some great box prices over the last month or two. I bought one a bit larger than that with the ball bearings and key locked for around $90 about a month ago.
My dad always said never buy anything from Sears unless it is on sale. Unless it is something you have to have TODAY (special tool to finish a job, etc.), a little patience goes a long way with Sears.
Good eye and knack for being in the right place at the right time!
Hank,
There's a full-size retail store at the local mall near me, and it has no scratch-n-dent or clearance area.
The S&D/clearance activity is at another mall (which from the look of it has much lower floorspace rent) a few miles in another direction. I'm guessing that this outlet handles discontinued stock from all 3 of the Sears stores in this metro area. They occasionally put ads on the local Craigslist. I can't find it in the local phone book.
If sales people at your nearest retail store don't know where the nearest clearance outlet is, try asking the department manager, store manager...
