I drove around town yesterday picking up Parts and the Rebuilt transmission. I stayed off the bypass and the temp with the AC on never went past the L in NORMAL. It ran cooler(M-A) below 40 mph than it did at or above above 40 mph. The transmission temp did get up to 240 though. I'm not down on coolant. So I'm gonna try going back with the 5 speed and see if getting that 240 degree of heat the transmission coole has been putting in outa there will make a difference.
It came with 3.27 gears and 235 tires from the factory. With the 3.73's that would make the 33's on it now correct. I'd like to put the 31's back on it though.
I did read that the intake can loosen up. I asked John to check that when he did the CPS. But I guees that could be it. Maybe not sealed good and causing a lean problem.
I have been hearing things about slaughter house Gulch and wold really like to see if we can squeeze it in --- it is just 6.5 miles north of Bailey, CO on cr 43.
Great site Chad. I have used 4x4Trails.net to find the NF and then have to locate the Ranger Dst. and call the week before we go. As you can see trails are just opening up. Red Cone still has no info. And Mosquito is still closed. And Georgia is closed on the North side also. A very wooded area so I'm not surprised.
We just had a heck of a thunder storm come though Manhattan about 6:00 a.m. I got up and watched weather, but mostly just lots of wind and lightning at first with rain. It moved through pretty fast.
Should be some mud up at Tuttle ORV now. It would be real steamy up there today.
