FT Engine Color
Does anyone know what color 391 FT engines were painted? I'm looking at a '77 F750 as a donor for a project (14K miles) and the engine is gray. I thought Ford engines were blue in this timeframe, but maybe Industrial / MD trucks were painted a different color? I've tried numerous web searches with no luck. Any help is apreciated.

I bought a 361 once, but don't remeber any color, just grime. I serioulsy don'y ford painted them blue like a regular automobile. They used the gray in the 80's and it was a thin coat that looks like primer. Hell now days they don't paint anything.

I'd really like to get a better picture of that label next time I'm over that way.
