Replacing Orange Intake Boots

I am finally going to replace my orange intake boots with the new ones I got from Clay @ Riffraff.
I was wondering if I am going to need any new gaskets/O-rings?? I am assuming I can just take the babys-butt off to get to the hoses and get them replaced fairly easily? I have searched and cant seem to find any instructions on how to do this-probably so easy anybody can do it right?

I am also going to replace the Intercooler boots and do the CCV Mod and try to get all those oily spots at the boot connections cleaned up.

Glenn, Did you remove the babys butt to get to them easier.
PS Hows the new boy doing?

Yeah, I removed it and cleaned it real good. It did make it easier to get to the boots, remove them and clean below them really well.

The baby is doing great, thanks for asking.

Costa, leave the babys-butt alone. Take the spider off.

Just take the IC boots at the spider off, then the map sensor hose off at the bottom of the spider, then take the bolt off the front that holds the red and green hoses to the spider. Take the nut off the air heater, be careful of the ceramic spacer. Don't drop it in the valley. Pull the wires off. Loosen the clamps on the orange boots and pull the spider up. Don't forget to take the clamp off the spider to turbo. . You might spray that clamp before you attempt to take it off, could be a little stuck on there.

Yes you have to remove it to get the old ones off and new ones on.

EDIT: I'm slow this morning.

Thanks Rick thats a great step by step. I thought the spider was the piece that connected the up pipes together.
Since I am going to put all the boots on and the pipes will be out, it might just be the right time for a foil delete and some paint. My weekend is going to be busy.

At least get that foil off while the pipes are out. Be prepared for a little bit of a struggle getting the spider back on, those new boots will be much thicker than the stock orange ones. I assume that you got the blue boots from Clay, which I have as well.

I have found that when re-installing the spider it is easier if you have one boot on the plenum and the opposite boot on the spider. JMHO

OH, and Costa, don't get frustrated when trying to line all the boots and pipes up. . It can get frustrating having to go back and forth with trying to get them back in so all the clamps work. Make darn sure the clamps are on right. I do know what it sounds like when a boot is blown off while WOT. It's louder then you think. I thought I blew the engine.
