4R70W Tranny Problem
My tranny is fine while driving at lower speeds, but once it shifts into third it acts as if its in neutral.....unless i click the over drive button off then it stays in second. Any ideas of what this could be? Somthing i can do without having to spend alot of money?

4R70W Tranny Problem
I just had the same concerns. I put a scan tool on and ran a check on everything. At first the computer was going dead, so it had to be changed. Ran a second time, everything was checking good. The brake switch was working, the overdrive switch on the shifter was working. The switching valves were working. We pulled the pan and found pices in the pan as well as burnt fluid. Rebuild time at 109k. Good luck.

4R70W Tranny Problem
So get this, i took it to a specialist his scanner said that everything was working ok but come back because he'll do another test with a better scanner. Then on the way home it finally thumped into 3rd and has been working fine ever since. Should i sell it now or what? Is this a false sense of security?
