I wanna hire someone with a welder to help me with a few things on my 89 convertible. Sub-Frames, Cage(have a comp eng kit) and a few other small things
I dont have a welder or even know how to weld, so if someone around Regina area has the time and doens't mind helping me, please just name the price $$$$$$
Wish I could help ya out John, all my welding buddies are either in nipawin, or alberta. I do know a guy that sometimes goes through regina, and if hes down in your area I will pm it to ya.
I have a welder but nothing portable. You should check out Princess Auto, they have some good welders for less and you could do that stuff yourself. I have one and it welds up to 1/4" metal and just plugs into 110 volt. Mig welders are real easy to weld with and it doesn't take much practice to be good with them.
I can help you out with the smaller stuff if you like. There was a post recently on the Saskatchewan Motorsports forum about getting a cage done in Regina that you might want to check out Saskatchewan Motorsports Forum - Need Roll Bar..

Well if you really don't mind then yeah for sure I'd like your help with the small stuff.
If we could do the sub frame connectors in the 89 and the 65 that would be awesome
Name your price, and well pick a weekend or what ever that works for you in the next month
I am tied up for the next week or so but after that is ok.I am still working on the Bronco II but last week I picked up a 92 Ranger 4x4 ext cab for cheap because it needed a transmission.Yesterday I picked up a nice Explorer from SGI for the tranny and I am going to part out whatever is left.
do you have 220 in your garage? we might be able to work something out if you do... or if you want to wait a bit i am getting 220 in my garage one of these days you could bring it over, might be easier that way?
i beleive its a millermatic 175, i really like it. i used thick c-channel to make the bumpers for my truck and it melted them together like nothing... just need to get another tank of gas and so i can finish them up.
Nice, Im actually gonna be getting a bigger welder when I get my shop built. The mig I have now is nice and handy, but it is smaller. I think the highest setting is 50 amps.

I haven't run the lines for 220 yet, but yeah it would be easy enough to haul the car around, and your in the NW end too aren't you?
Sure if we can work something out, between you and Ian I should be able to get the cars good to go this summer
Thanks for the offer!!!
