DP tuner question

I used search. But i couldn't find anything... so, i'm interested in buying a DP tuner now with clays sale on. Does it make the motor louder? When i chipped my duramax it made it nice and loud. What about bully dog, i have one but it needs to be reprogrammed for a 7.3L.

You won't be able to tell a difference until you gouge on the throttle. I gained a ton of power and PROVEN 3mpg city/4mpg hwy on my Excursion.

You will notice a difference in the sound. It's a lot more deep sounding in the cab on the 80 Econ vs Stock. I don't know how else to say it but it sounds like it has more power. just sounds beefier. Not necessarily louder. It's hard to explain....

Triskit16- I have the 60 Tow and i recommend it a ton for towing. The 80-Econ. Is nice and i have the 140 Extreme. It's awesome. I don't use it very often but it's nice to have. I would just jump to the 140 instead of the 120. The difference in 80-140 is quite a bit but only gains me about a half second or less off the quarter mile times. Just fyi. Hope this helps.

I used to be able to hear a difference between having the DP in stock and one of my tunes, but since I got it re-burned recently now it sounds the same all the time, but still different than a non-tuned stock truck.
I have 1200 high idle, drive-thru, 60 tow, 80 eco, 100 perf, 120 race, and 140 aggressive. I rarely use the 100 or 120, if I want to play I go right to 140. The 60 tow tune is great- I pulled a 3 horse trailer loaded down up a few good grades and all my temps stayed well in check. In fact, on one hill I was having to go easy to keep from getting too close to the car in front of me!

The pilot injection on the Duramax made them very quiet overall compared to the PSD
