Where can I buy rear bumper brackets for my 78 . some one welded on an aftermarket bumper on and ruined what ever was there not sure if they are even the same brackets . I purchased a nice chrome flareside bumper and need brakets for it . Do other years besided 73-79 work ?

 

I have the exact problem with mine. I ended up building my own brackets. Best of luck to ya.

 

oh great can you put up a picyure of what yea made. Can some one else put one up of what a factory flareside rear bumper bracket looks like ?

 

F-100 Central .com , he says he has them , check out the site , I need them to .

 

will the older 53 -56 bumper brakets work ? they are flare sides ? I do not see any 70's truck parts on the F-100 site

 

ALL the following brackets are not the same before 1973 or after 1979.

1973/77 Flareside rear bumper brackets / 1977: Use before serial number D75,000.

These Flaresides used four bumper brackets, 2 inner, 2 outer.

I have the exact same problem. someone welded the original bracket to an aftermarket bracket. Did you ever find a place to purchase new brackets?

 

I have a flareside bumper and brackets that I was told are for an F-200 or larger. Everything seems to line up but the bolt holes don't match my frame. Did the different size trucks use different brackets and bumpers?

The info was typed straight from the Ford truck parts catalog.

btw: There's no such thing as an F200.

 

I knew that, its a typo. I sometimes mix up my 0s and 5s

 

not to be a smart, (this is just a joke, i mean no offense, and i know we are only talking about North American Ford trucks, just couldn't pass this up, and imagine bringing one over to the U.S. or Canada! lol lol oh the looks you would get from people)

but there was a F-200, you have to go to Mexico! lol lol lol
