I washed the engine bay and now the dome light won't go out.
I have done the lube in the latch fix, several times, with no effect.
If I got water in the mercury switch on the under hood light, will that cause the problem?
Ok, after much deliberation----I remembered that I washed the inside of the cab too------you guessed it. I had hit the dome light switch and left it in the on position. How quickly we look for worse problems when the answer is under our noses.
There really isn't a dumb enough smilie to go here.
Thanks anyway.
Seriously though, I don't want this to come accross as we're making fun of the guy, we're not, we're just having a good old time with this because as they say... ***** happens.
I chased this to for about a week. Driving one night, I decided to dim the dash. I heard that familiar click. They need to make a "Trophey For Dumb *** Of The Year" for this one. Everybody's name would be on it.
I read the title and HAD to open this to see what the fix was. Sure am glad I've never done anything like that before (and had the gumption to admit it).
