9.95 Headlight restore kit actually worked
SO the last 2 times at Harbor Freight to get hose fittings for the shop, I kept passing the 10 minute headlight restore kit for 14.99. I figured since I'm going to paint the truck in July and get new headlights why bother, but with everyone doing spring cleaning I figured maybe give it a try? The kit is 14.95 in the store, but if you print the ad online, its only 9.95. Didn't expect much but was totally taken back that it actually took all the yellow off the lights ! I messed them up some time ago with some buffing compounds, some plastic cleaner etc.. but this came with 2 micron pads for a drill and then a finer polishing pad. The little nubs that are on the headlights chewed up the pads and I had to be extra careful around those. All in all it took about 15 minutes between shots of tequilla and lambchops but not bad right?

Yeah just print it out. I actually had my iPhone with me and showed the guy the ad from my phone, as I left the print out at home safe in the printer hahaha. He gave me the " Well I'm not supposed to do this but.. " Technical tip would be to consume beers instead of tequilla until finished, but brand is entirely independent of results. I did get a bit of spatter and spent some time cleaning it up this am . Make a HUGE difference at night driving. Now I can see the road again.
So why can't I get the pics to post like you guys all do? Mine almost always come out as links.. I can't get this for the life of me..

I called HF here and they said to print it out and they have one under the counter waiting for me to pick up.

All I did was go into your gallery, click on the pic I wanted to post to make it big, right click on the pic, click copy. Then go to where you are posting, right click in the post box, click paste. Thats it.

Really does high light the nice ding in the center of the bumper don't ya think ! ? Pain t job coming first week in July with wife away for the month. New headlights as well, and hopefully 05 grill

Thanks for the reps guys. They are my first and couldn't have come on a better day. Today I found out I can leave my truck to my son... found out its gonna be a boy in October ! whooo hoo... at least he will have clean headlights ! hahaha
