wow...bringing this thread back from the grave...ha. the ride is a tad bit stiffer i guess than my worn out factory springs, but not much, and the rough country shocks are ok. they arent any billstiens, but they are some dang good shocks for 30 bucks a piece. dont forget to get thos new camber bushings in to correct the little bit of lean your gunna get off of the front wheels after the kit is installed. here is a aftershot of my truck with the leveling kit, and bfg at/ko's 31's.

I LOVE YOUR TRUCK!

Great looking rig. Does that truck have rim spacers?

hey thanks bill. nope. no spacers. just got the leveling kit with some eagle alloy rims, that are literally as lite as a feather. the rims are 15'', but not sure on the width since they were already on there when i bought the truck. then got some bfg all terrain ta/ko 31's to top it off... i plan on doing a 4'' lift on it in the future, or as soon as funds come readily available.... then after that throw on some 33's and call it a day... right now im in the process of finding a headache rack that will fit our flaresides, and then a toolbox for the bed...found some box's...not goin so good for the headache rack's tho...

i have an 89 f150 with a leveling kit and 31s. i put the bigger spring on there. my 31s fit like a champ. it will raise your front about 2in so i would go ahead and put new shocks that are rated for a 2in lift in the front. but if you dont it wont hurt anything.
sorry didnt realize when you posted that. very nice truck

I think your best bet would be to look at headache racks for the little Rangers. I've looked into it too. It's hard finding things for our flareside's. Are you a good fabber? Maybe you can find a headache rack off a small truck (like a Ranger or S-10 and just tweak it to fit. I have a tool box on my truck but it came with it. I have a neighbor who wanted to give me a realy nice diamond plate chrome tool box that came off a Chey Colorado. We took some measurments and decided the box would fit, if I did indeed want it. Just take a tape measure and rule out some numbers and see what you can find.

Your truck would look bad to the bone with a 4'' lift and 33's. I hope you do that! I had to put a 3'' lift on mine just to sit as high as yours is. I'd love to lift mine another 4 inches too. I would keep the 31's for a while though; I don't think it would look too bad. These F-150's just make 31's look small though. You have to go to a 33 inch tire before you really make the tires start looking big on these trucks.

Thanks, for the pic and the info! I'm glad to see what 31's look like as thats what I have, and not going to go any bigger. Hopefully santa leaves a leveling under the tree...

i need to get some new tires and my truck currently doesnt have any lift or leveling kit on it. it looked earlier in the thread like 31s shouldnt cause any rubbing issues, even without a leveling kit, is that correct? its a 95 f150 4x4.

if you have read alot about it then you will have read that you may wind into some rubbing issues with 31's at full lock rubbing. some run into the issue and some so dont. mine is a 95 4x4 and 31's with the leveling kit fit like a glove.

im looking at the 2.5 inch lift kit and rear blocks, but wont be doing it for a while, and i need tires now, just dont want to get tires that are going to have major rubbing issues until i get it installed. would like to hear from others that have 31's and no lift and how bad of a rubbing issue they have.
