Not sure on BD's kit but I know on mine and the homemade ones you retain the stock boot from the turbo to the CCV delete pipe. So the green tube can still stay in place. If you want some pics just holler

Are you talking about a green wire or a green tube. If you are talking about the green tube that goes from the intake hose to the wastegate solenoid it should not come into play with any CCV mod I have seen.

My intake hose consists of two pieces. One short one that comes from the turbo, then the longer one that goes to the airfilter box.
the green wire goes into the short section. Wire not pipe.
It looks like the piece on page 10 of the installation sheet replaces the short section hose which has the green wire.

could be wrong here guys, Im learning as I go.
just had another look at page 10 and it looks there is a little hole for the wire to go in just near the metal section.
was wondering if sum1 out there had one of these.

Just get the kit from Clay at RiffRaff and you won't have to worry about any green wire.

The thing is, You might of noticed Im new to PSD's. Just bought mine two months ago.
All this is new to me. I dont know what all the thingy ma jigs are called but do have enough mechanical aptitude to have a go. There is no one in my area that has worked on these things so Im on my own out here.
This forum has been a life line, u guys are number one as far as Im concerned.
What Im looking at is the mods mentioned all through out this forum with detailed idiot proof instructions.
I have sent Clay sum emails regarding the parts and prices that Im after but he doesnt have a website for me to see what he has and how he supplies it.
So thats why i have been lookn else where.
If I order sumthing and pay all the freight and wait the 5 yrs it will take to get here to find out that it doesnt just bolt on I will be devestated.
take the 4" exhaust. I have learnt that the turbo downpipe doesnt fit on right hand drives. You have to push part of the firewall in. Now sum say they have installed it and sum say u cant. See what I mean.

ChunderDownUnder...I get it now. I wasn't paying much attention to your name, and your location isn't filled out, so it wasn't until you stated "right hand drive" that it dawned on me you're in Aussie land, yes?

I understand your trepidation now. You have to be diligent that whatever you order will fit vehicles set up differently than what we have.

That's just the dump line for the Wastegate actuator. When the turbo makes boost, some of that boost is fed into that black solenoid mounted on the front of the intake spider. That solenoid is a PWM (pulse-width modulated) controlled valve. When the PCM wants to open the wastegate, it sends a wider pulses to that valve allowing pressure to be applied to the wastegate actuator. That pressure defeats the spring holding the wastegate closed, and allows some drive pressure to divert around the exhaust wheel in the turbo reducing boost. The green line is just a place for excess pressure in the solenoid to be fed back into the intake before the turbo making it a closed system. I suppose it could just be left to vent out into the open, but they chose to feed it back into the intake. I don't think it makes a bit of difference either way. But of course, can't leave that hole open. I have a non-wastegated turbo, so I removed all that stuff from mine. I put a screw in the intake tube to block off the hole there, and another in the intake spider where the boost pressure was fed to the solenoid.

You can see the screw in the intake tube in this pic:

...and all that junk removed here:

I caution against deleting the wastegate control.
If you overboost for too long then it will chew up the turbo bearings.
The exhaust drive pressure on the stock turbo is roughly twice what the boost pressure is and that pressure imbalance pushes the exhaust wheel pretty hard against the thrust bearing at high boost levels.
What I have done, instead, is to adjust the length of the wastegate rod so that it won't open until 12 psi.
You have to use some compressed air and a setup similar to this.

I know the question has been answered but if anyone is interested, here are some links to the BD Installation Manuals for the CCV upgrade.
