So I found an exhaust leak just before the turbo. I was wondering if anyone had any suggtions on a temporary fix as I intend on buying some nice new ceramic coated up pipes to replace these buggers as soon as I have the $$

If by temporary you mean without replacing the donut gaskets I have no idea. Any thing you try to use to seal around the flange will not be able to handle the temps or the expansion and contraction. But it would be temporary, very temporary.
If you want to replace the donut gaskets here are the choices:
Ford Up-pipe Donut Gaskets F4TZ-6K854-C
FelPro Donut Gaskets Part # 8194
CarQuest Donut Gasket Part # 17250 (IIRC) for a 350 chevy gasser....
I'm just looking to avoid pulling a bunch of things out until I can get a good aftermarket replacement though I suppose the donut would be easy enough to replace from under the truck. Unbolt it from the manifold then from the turbo and replace the seals.
Correct me if I'm wrong,.... PLEASE.
Trust me its not quite as easy as it sounds. I just got done with replacing the pipes. Its not a job you want to do twice. I have the bruises to prove it. Just save your $ and do it right one time.

It would be good practice for when you get your new up-pipes. But I agree with Peter, live with the leak until you get the new up-pipes.
If you can't wait see this write-up (if you haven't already) for the bellowed up-pipe install, it also works for removing and re-installing the stock up-pipes. LINK
look at the post "up pipe lessons" by DUCK FAN. very recent topic too. awesome job guy's, wish i were there, but hope i don't need them done until i get a ball bearing Garrett.
Yea, I've looked at that page and have considered those pipes as a replacement but I difinately like the write up on how to replace these buggers.
I'm looking at replacing them with these but as I said I need to wait until I have the money.
I'm also thinking that for the time being and to get rid of the leak, I think I can remove the leaking pipe from under the truck and replace the seals.
I would like to add if your heading towards purchasing these International up-pipes, do it as soon as you have the money, the price keeps going up on them and about 460ish from Clay right now I believe, give him a call, he'll hook you up. Prices for them are sure to go up again. I,m changing out my turbo soon and wished I had the extra cash but those up-pipes are on my check list next..good luck.
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to get them as soon as I am able but it looks as if I need to drop the transmission to get these buggers in. I'm not looking forward to that but on the up side it'll give me a chance to fully inspect the work done on my clutch and inspect my splines though everything there seems to feel fine for the time being
Yea, thanks for pointing that out! that sucks!!
Well I just sent a message to RiffRaff to see if I can get some from him and to find out what they are.
I figure since I have to replace these buggers I might as well get something that is going to give me a little bit more performance (hopefully) but most of all will not leak any time soon.
Thanks for all the help guys. I'll post when I get this thing fixed and/or replaced. I'm thinking that I'll barrow some money from my parents to get this fixed as fixing it will pay for itself due to fuel mileage lost.

Just a heads up, the pricing on the bellowed up-pipes is only $387.53, not over $400. We are also working on ceramic coating on request...
Hey guys. I need to re-live this post for a moment as I have discovered that I need quite a major upgrade to replace my up pipes since I'm running a early 99 F250 SD 7.3 power house.
Does anyone have the cheve part number of the donut replacement from carquest.
I'm looking to replace the donut on my up-pipe for the time being as I can't afford a new set of up-pipes, turbo, turbo pedestal, ect.
When the time comes I'll do a full turbo system upgrade to help increase spin up time, pressure, reduce resistance and the cooling capability of the air intake.
