Trans problem

Hi! I just bought a 67 f100. This truck is in great shape. The engine starts right up and runs like a beast. The problem I'm having is that the tranny leaks like a sieve. I think it is a MX trans, but not sure. The truck has the original 352 and trans. The truck only has 103,000 miles on it, but it started shifting wierd. So the guy I got it from changed the vaccuum module, the filter, and gasket. If anybody could give me an idea of what could be the solution, it would be appreciated.

If it's the original trans it's an MX. To fix a leak you have to find the source first. It's a suck job but a pressure washer will get the goo off then you can look for the leak. It could be an easy fix or a hard one but you won't know until you pinpoint where it's coming from.

If the Pan was over tightened it would leak. (most common after a filter change) Cooling line or front seal would be next. If it has sat for a while than rust will grow under the seal. It will leak with this even sitting and not running.
