2001 F150 binding drive line

2001 F150 binding drive line
2001 F150 Truck has been fine, now all of the sudden the truck wants to bind up when I put it in reverse. When driving it did fine in drive for a short time. Now when driving it wants to bind up and then it releases and then will try to bind up again. So now I have parked it. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem is?

Gen66 ,not much info to go with here!
is it a 4x4 ,auto or manual trans? were you in 4x4,was parking brake on?
had the truck sat for a long time ,rust on rotors,bad u-joints,ls unit in rear ?
