I found this the other day while looking through some F600-F700's in the yard and had to have it.
If you guys know me, I'm a no frills, bare bones type of guy and thought this would be cool in one of my trucks. For now, I stuck it in Project Flareside and just wanted to let you guys know that these were out there.
One of these days I'm going to take some pictures of all of the different bezels available and post them up.
Maybe they'll even throw it in the new and improved sticky section!
That would be pretty neat actually, that heavy duty, this truck means business look and then it's not like YOU can't change it anytime the mood suits you
Hey Stosh, what are the chances that you would have a bezel with the same crosshatched pattern on it? i just need the standard radio bezel, i cant find the one to match my gauge panel i just found
Sorry to hijack, this post wasnt really Tech anyways
While were on this topic, anybody got pictures of what the stock radios looked like in the dash?? I sold the aftermarket Pioneer radio in my 81 to a friend of mine, think I'm going to try to replace it with the original, or at least a manual radio that'll look more natural in a truck this age...
I like the F-O-R-D spelled out across the panel, as opposed to the X-L-T that is on mine.
Alot of the big F600's and 700's had them.I'm not sure if the Smaller F-Series even came with them.I've never seen them in any truck except for F6 and 700's.And Stosh is a lucky man.I've never seen an F600 or an F700 in any junkyard I go to.I have had to replace the driver's side window in one before,as well as a rusty vent window.I got both out of a Bronco.Worked just fine.

Those were used in the F-600/Up medium duty only, before Circa 1985.
The Black Mesh weave Factory radio delete ones for the pickups are identicle, except 1980-1981's have "CUSTOM" written where the "FORD" is, and the 1982-1984's are blank. Factory Radio delete is very rare on pickups, and not so rare at all on the Medium duty. There is a dealer delete panel, that attaches to the existing radio bezel as well.
As for the different type of radios installed.
1980-1984 used **** and shaft style radios. and came in the following...

Here is a picture of my 1981 Radio Bezel. It's a very rare bezel, "Black weave" CUSTOM, with Clock. The Factory Radio is a AM-FM stereo, compact cassette player.
The Engineering part numbers are as follows. The Number printed on the black mesh weave bezels, themselves, in 1981.
EOTB-10045A98-A = Marked "CUSTOM", Black Mesh Weave, Radio Delete
EOTB-10045A98-B = Marked "CUSTOM", Black Mesh Weave, With Radio and clock
EOTB-10045A98-C = Marked "CUSTOM", Black Mesh Weave, Radio Only
EOTB-60045A98-A = Marked "FORD", Black Mesh Weave, Radio Delete.
EOTB-60045A98-B = Marked "FORD", Black Mesh Weave, Radio only
