clunk in the front

GA early 03 6.0 250 xlt 4x4 cc lwb stock
i got 1 ball joint gone bad so it's time for them all. i can't get the wall street bail out package so i wan't to do it myself after researching some forums i'm in. i can't seam to find any online diagrams showing all the front end parts. most of the bushing are dry rotted so i was going to work on those as well.
i keep hearing the term needle bearing and hub assembly bearings. is this the same thing? my hub assembly should have the only bearings that spin on the outer shaft/spindle correct? i'm hoping that they are good to go with some cleaning and grease cause they cost more than the $8 a week tax break i'm getting that goes to pay the increased cost of living in america energy tax!
sorry .................i get a little heated when things start to break down.

Yeah we need a good guy on the inside, with all the Pork that went through that last bill, there should have been a "Rednecks Truck Revitalization Plan" Instead they spent it all on Banks and illegal immigrants...oh wait don't forget taking our guns and studying global warming.

Good luck man, I can only offer rants about the Government not any info on your front end. Although I do believe your hub assembly has a needle bearing setup inside of it if I remember correctly.

i can't tell yet whether the bearings can be independently replaced cause i have not removed them yet.. from some pics i've seen it does not appear to be so.

The bearings are a single unit, I believe you can remove the hub assembly and get some grease in them but that's it. I am not positive though, I may be thinking of my Dodge.
