muffler straight pipe question

muffler straight pipe question

i want to take the muffler off my truck and put a straight pipe in, will it hurt the performance of the truck? im not planning on removing the resonator. my truck is a stock 6.0. thanks

Don't think it will hurt your performance. I have had mine straight piped (resonator intact) for a while, don't really notice a difference. Probably just a little louder.

It's not really "straight piped" unless it's truly "straight piped" just removing the cat will not harm anything unless your state has emissions inspections for diesels. diesels don't require back pressure like gassers.
