this truck has been a money pit since day 1 it use to be a two tone brown truck that hauled a big slide in camper... lets just say after 3 rearends one front end and motor# 4 the only thing original in this truck is the tranny and t-case...
which one ? the one for the 4wd is hanging in the barn going to clean it and put new valve covers on it... the other 79 (2wd) that ol motor won't die truck is falling apart around it... the other two are just sitting in line for the body to get re done....( total a 4 460 trucks...)
Over achiever, must be nice, 4 460 trucks, I'm jealous. Ya coming to the May 2nd G2G?
probably not to many fund raisers going on (youth group) and the only ford's legal to drive is the escort and explorer.... so I guess I shouldn't tell you about the 2 429's in the barnone is a parts motor the other screams...
OMG, can I go parts shopping at your place? Think I just got my new paint scheme idea for the 78 off that blue/white with race track chrome and white spoke rims.
I really like the look's of that one!! Is any of your gold mine for sale?
naw with 4 upcoming boys they have to have something to drive... you want to know the story behind the blue white one... that is the first ever truck I painted.. so instead of wasting mucho money on top notch paint, and knowing this was a work truck I painted with tractor paint the blue is blue ford tractor paint the white is actually ford tractor grey, but when I sprayed it over the blue it got lighter... there is no runs in the paint at all all I forgot to do was add the hardner to the paint (which helps it from fading) now when Ipainted the interior I used the hardner and wow what a difference its super shiny and smooth
I want to repaint it with real car paint so it will shine better but for a truck that may get beat to crap haulling wood and scrap it looks good it was a crappy brown and tan then it got a solid black bed.... it looked ruff
hopefully it will be running in the next couple of weeks..
